Surreal Human Metamorphosing

Surreal Human Metamorphosing

To express this kind of art work I have to use words such as: surreal, bizarre and unusual, but still unique in many ways. This is all about pushing photography to a whole new level where everything is permitted.

The people at Taylor James Creative Studios are the brains behind this project of bizarreness. They have photo manipulated several non-realistic situations to look extremely realistic. The founder of Taylor James Creative Studios is Glen Taylor that started it all in 1999 with a goal for the company to provide creative post-production and explore other creative subjects to a higher standard. In this project the concept has to be re-birth, because in every picture there is some kind of shedding happening; From changing skin like snakes to coming out of white shells like chickens.

Some of the photos are even showing how something that lives inside of us wants to come out, to change the outer skin, like we were some kinds of aliens. Or maybe this is just a symbol of some psychological feelings that we have? Either way, these amazing photos had to take several photo shoots before getting to the final result, but it paid off.

I like the symbolic, looks like the models are in some sort of pain.

Love the concept, but those last few are terrible. The poses those models are in suggest electrocution has occurred and the convulsions have yet to cease. But otherwise great use of lighting and theme.
