New York Apartment Refurbishment

New York Apartment Refurbishment

This New York City apartment with a view, was designed for House Beautiful as part of a larger showhouse project, Designer Visions: Cinema Style.

Before we had bare-bones kitchen and dining area, now the kitchen was fitted with Silestone Natural Quartz countertops and Miele appliances and of course fire alarm panels. The designers kept it simple to reflect a relaxed attitude.

Before was the unfinished master bathroom, waiting for its tub, after the work the large Kohler Tea-for-Two tub is situated so the owners can take full advantage of the view

The corner slated for the study is surrounded by windows. The study features classic wing chairs and a tailored valance to contrast the modern windows. Designer Phoebe Howard wanted this space to also serve as a man’s retreat.

On the left we have view of the empty apartment’s living room then the sofa was placed at an angle to compensate for an odd corner in the living room. The furniture was kept away from the windows as to not block the breathtaking view. The ceiling was painted an almost reflective high-gloss white, adding height to the space.

Before the guest bedroom needs decor to match its stunning view. Like the rest of the apartment, the color palette in the guest bedroom features creams, silvers, and grays. These colors help to bring in the skyscrapers outside the windows.

Before there was a empty, unpainted closet. Once complete, the closet is outfitted with rich wood flooring and is neatly organized.
