Food Goes High Fashion
Fashion has no limits, which is true. There exist countless styles and trends that are constantly changing into something new. I would say that it has lost sense of class and become pretty creepy.
Just take a look at Lady Gaga; meat dress at the Music Awards?! And what now? Well, 15 designers have obviously gotten inspired by her to come up with a clothing line of outfits made out of food, which these pictures below represent.
The collection is named “Hunger Pains” and is actually representing meals that the models are craving. It is no secret that models aren’t allowed to eat what they want at all time, hence the reason for this project.
It took a lot of time and effort to cook the food and make outfits of it. The models had to stay or sit in one position for several hours while the food was stitched together and placed on their bodies, and then they had to pose while talented photographer Ted Sabarese took pictures of them.
Imagine watching your favorite food around you without having the opportunity to eat it, something I suppose was painful for the models, and suddenly the project name “Hunger Pains” made so much sense now.
