10 Things We Know About Batman The Dark Knight Rises

Many fans can not wait for the new Batman movie to come out, nether do we. These are the 10 facts about last part of this trilogy that we have gathered.

The filming of The Dark Knight Rises begins in India in beginning of May. Premiere is expected in 20 July 2012, and the director is Christopher Nolan as in Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). Film crew is awesome, script is hold in top secrecy and outcome is expected to be sensational.

The speculations are finally over. Anne Hathaway is the one that’s going to play Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, in the Dark Knight Rises.

The debate whether they should shoot the movie in IMAX or 3D has been an issue for a while. Director of Photography Wally Pfister stated that they will try to shoot as much as possible in IMAX. He also said that he will “encourage everyone to see it in IMAX if they can because we’re really going for it this time”.

It is confirmed that Tom Hardy will be playing Dr. Hugo Strange, a genius, mad scientist who becomes obsessed with Batman.

The infamous Joker will not appear in the Dark Knight Rises. That has been confirmed by director Christopher Nolan.

All the rumors that have been going around about Joseph Gordon-Lewitt playing Alberto Falcone is true. The director thinks he will fit the role as son of a former boss perfectly.

The movie will be partially filmed in Bucharest, Romania, more precisely at the People’s Palace.

Christian Bale will again play the role as Batman, but it will be his last time according to himself, unless Christopher Nolan changes his mind. One of Bale’s comments on the whole plot was: “Chris will let me know what I need to know when I need to know it”.

Composer Hans Zimmer is responsible for the music in this film. The only thing he said about it was: “…it’s going to be a lot more epic. Extraordinarily epic.”

Director Nolan confirmed that the villain would not be Riddler and that he will not appear in the movie. Actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp and James Franco were all rumored to play the Riddler before they decided to cut him out from the plot completely.

Some of the shooting will be situated in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nolan thinks it’s a perfect place and that they got everything they need there. It will happen this summer and will last about 4-6 weeks.

Tom Hardy has been confirmed as BANE, not Dr. Strange. And JGL is NOT playing Falcone, but is playing a beat cop.
