Old Black and White Photos Meet Pop Culture

Yoda as a WWI soldier, Darth Vader as the Pope and McDonald’s lunch box out on the street ? Yes, that is exactly what you are seeing, your eyes are not tricking you.

The young and talented photographer Danil Polevoy is letting his imagination run wild when mixing together historical and iconic figures with sci-fi characters, especially from Star Wars, and also other famous people from the past like Albert Einstein and Abraham Lincoln. In one picture he has even photoshopped it so well that it looks like Adolf Hitler is looking at a cover of Playboy with Pamela Anderson on it. His work is hilarious and you just have to smile when you see all the fun and wicked combination that he has made.

Not to mention how detailed he has done it. Mixing old and new is definitely something that is influencing modern art these days, and there are new artists that just amaze with their photo montages, like this guy that photoshopped Star Wars characters into the streets of New York.
