Artsy Darth Vader Helmets Up For Auction

Artsy Darth Vader Helmets Up For Auction

We’re not sure how much Lord Vader would appreciate a helmet covered in colorful feathers, but he will not complain anyway, so no one’s gonna get force choked to death.

Luckily for 24 artist who were selected to make art using replicas of Vader’s famous helmet.

A couple of months ago, 24 artists worldwide were chosen on the website to create unique pieces of art that include a replica of Darth Vader’s helmet, which are now put up for auction on the site, starting with the bidding price of $50. The selection of artists is really wide and there are graffiti artists, sculptors and even tattoo artists, which makes the style of their work even more diverse. Some of the helmets have donuts or koi fish painted on them, others are decorated with things from glittering pearls to crawling bugs, so they go from cute to creepy.

You have a rare opportunity to become the proud owner of one of the helmets, and since part of the money collected goes to two Minnesota charities, you got one more reason to participate. Plus, “Wanna come over to my place and see my redecorated Darth Vader helmet?” makes a great pick-up line. For geeks, at least.

In case you’re more of a Stormtrooper person, check out this awesome helmet made out of a pair of Adidas sneakers.
